Request to the Diocese from Bishop John Stephens

To the People of the Diocese of New Westminster
The Diocesan Mission Conference will be held on Saturday October 15 from 10am to 4pm. It will be held at St. Dunstan’s in Aldergrove. I strongly encourage you to come! All are welcome to attend (this is not limited to Synod Delegates) and so please spread the word.

This will be a great opportunity to gather as a diocese and discover more about current ministries and look to the future and new possibilities. Dr. Amy Zidulka (from Royal Roads University) will be speaking about collaborative creativity. The ideal topic for us as a diocese as we look to the future.

We are a large diocese spread out over this part of British Columbia, making it difficult to gather often. But it is so important for us as to connect with other people in other parishes and share ideas and planning and perspective. We need the perspective of our whole diocesan family. This is where creativity starts to develop and grow. Dr. Zidulka will guide us toward this as will the workshops on the day.

The deadline for registration is Monday, October 3. We need to know by that day whether you are able to attend so that we can plan for the lunch. The link to registration page is here:  https://www.vancouver.anglican.ca/diocesan-ministries/mission-and-ministry-conference-2022

Childcare is available (please let us know if you need it). Car pooling is available if you need (please let us know). The food will be wonderful, thanks to Sto:lo catering

I look forward to seeing you in Aldergrove on the 15th
